The principal research site of ICB resides since June 2001 in Pozzuoli, in the former Olivetti site, perfectly integrated in the Neapolitan coastal landscape. The Institute was established in Pozzuoli as Laboratory for Chemistry and Physics for Molecules of Biological Interest in 1968 by Prof. Rodolfo Nicolaus, precisely in Arco Felice (Naples). Here are the Management and Secretariat offices. Currently the staff is composed of 30 researchers, 14 technical collaborators and 7 administrative personnel. Each year several students are hosted, who choose this location to carry out their experimental thesis activities in the various sectors of chemistry or internships/training courses, as well as foreign researchers. Furthermore, the Pozzuoli District hosts three companies operating in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology field.
