“Molecular integration, interaction and reconstruction of biosynthetic pathway of polyketide synthase from photosynthetic organisms” is a competitive Research Project funded with PNRR-PRIN funds (2023-2025). The objective of the project is to study Polyketide synthase (PKS) clusters, their organization and their transcriptional regulation in photosynthetic organisms using in-silico and wet-lab approaches, to clarify the role and functioning of enzymatic modules (PKS) in the biosynthesis of biologically active natural molecules.
The project is financed by Unione Europea – NextGeneration EU – PNRR -M4/C2 Investimento 1.1.- Fondo Programma Nazionale di Ricerca – PRIN 2022_PNRR. Project partners: National Research Council (CNR) – Dr. Genoveffa Nuzzo (Co-PI); Federico II University of Naples – Dr. Simone Landi (PI).
